What is special about the wheego car subscription?
You can rent, lease or buy a car – or now also subscribe. The wheego car subscription is the easiest and most uncomplicated way to get your vehicle and is particularly advantageous if you want full cost control and want to be mobile with little effort. And it’s as simple as that: All you have to do is pay the agreed monthly instalment, which covers all services except for the fuel costs. The car subscription is our “all-round carefree package” for your mobility. You no longer have to worry about insurance, taxes or maintenance.
No matter whether you are a private or corporate customer, or whether you need one or more vehicles, we always have the right mobility solution for you.
With wheego, you can always drive the car of your choice without a long-term commitment, while remaining as flexible as possible and optimally insured.
What is included in the wheego car subscription?
Your fixed monthly wheego subscription price includes everything except refuelling, i.e. your chosen inclusive kilometre package as well as all maintenance and wear-and-tear repairs required during the subscription period, tyres (all-season tyres), main inspection / exhaust emission test (HU/AU), warranty work, vehicle tax, GEZ fees, registration, and vehicle insurance. The motor vehicle insurance includes the statutory liability insurance.
In our General Terms and Conditions, you will find detailed information about which additional costs you will incur as a driver that are not covered by the monthly contribution to wheego. These costs, if applicable, refer in summary to operating fluids (e.g. fuel, Adblue, windscreen wiper water, etc.), public usage fees (e.g. tolls), fines and penalties (plus processing fees) as well as cleaning costs.
The deductible for wheego cars in the event of damage is 750€ per claim, depending on the vehicle.
What exactly is included in my wheego car subscription?
Your wheego car subscription includes service, maintenance, taxes, insurance, GEZ, tyres and the loss in value due to the normal use of the vehicle – i.e. everything except refuelling. This also includes all naturally occurring signs of use, such as tyre and brake wear, as well as any necessary workshop appointments for tyre and oil changes. If you are involved in an accident with your wheego car, we will of course take care of settling the claim with the insurance company. Your deductible per claim depends on the wheego subscription vehicle you have booked and amounts to 750€. You can find detailed information on this in our offers.
What fees may apply?
In addition to the monthly subscription price, wheego may charge a deposit depending on your creditworthiness. The maximum amount of the deposit is three months’ rent.
If you would like your new wheego car to be delivered within Germany, we will charge you additionally for the transport costs. Collection from our wheego hubs is free of charge.
How long is the contract term / minimum term?
Your minimum term is one month, after which you can return the vehicle at any time. In case you return it before the end of the month, we will invoice you on the exact day. This ensures maximum transparency and fairness.
You can choose between different term offers, depending on your personal needs. If you only need your wheego car for a short period of time, our flexible 3-month offers are perfect for you. If you want to drive your wheego car for longer, then you can choose the term package that best suits you, right up to the particularly favourably priced 18-month variant.
What are the costs for additional kilometers?
The price is usually between 0.15 €/km and 0.30 €/km incl. VAT, depending on the wheego vehicle type. Detailed information on the additional kilometre price of your wheego vehicle can be found on the respective product pages of all offers.
How are additional or unused inclusive kilometers billed at the end of the term?
Additional kilometres will be invoiced at the end of the term at the additional kilometre prices agreed in the contract. Less kilometres cannot be reimbursed. Unfortunately, the kilometre package cannot be adjusted after the contract has been signed.
What hidden costs could I face?
The kilometer package you have booked is included in your monthly subscription rate. The billing of more kilometers beyond the agreed package takes place cumulatively at the end of your rental period.
The mileage counts when you return it to our hubs.
When you have chosen that wheego should collect the wheego vehicle from your home, the mileage on handover to our transfer partner counts as the return mileage of your rental agreement.
For every kilometer in addition to your booked inclusive-kilometer package, you pay the agreed cost of the additional kilometers.
You have to report the current mileage of your subscription vehicle to wheego monthly by email. We only need this mandatory information to check whether you are moving as far as possible within the agreed mileage package and, if necessary, to warn you of high additional kilometer costs at the end of the subscription.
Can I sign a wheego subscription with a non-German driver’s license?
This is not a problem at all, if you have a valid EU driving license, you can start a wheego subscription at any time.
Can wheego vehicles be configured individually?
It is very important to us to ensure that your dream vehicle is available as quickly as possible. That is why all wheego vehicles are already configured.
In what condition are vehicles at wheego?
Your wheego car is as good as new.
Can I make changes to my wheego car?
Any installations, additions or removals to the vehicle that lead to permanent changes are unfortunately not allowed to be carried out. We are subject to the specifications of our vehicle suppliers. However, all non-technical changes that you can remove without residue and damage before returning it to wheego are permitted.
What kind of tires do wheego cars have?
We deliver your wheego car with tires suitable for the winter time – so you have safe driving fun all year round.
What exactly is included in my wheego car subscription?
Your wheego car subscription includes service, maintenance, vehicle taxes, insurance, GEZ, tires and the depreciation due to normal use of the vehicle – i.e. everything except refueling. This also includes all naturally occurring signs of use such as tire and brake wear as well as any necessary workshop appointments for tire and oil changes. If you should be involved in an accident with your wheego car, we will of course take care of handling the damage with the insurance company. Your deductible per incident depends on the wheego subscription vehicle you have booked and is 750€.
What delivery time should I plan if I want to subscribe to cars?
We have many wheego vehicles in stock, which are often available immediately, at the latest in 1-2 weeks after signing the contract.

The majority of wheego vehicles are already waiting for you in stock and are therefore available immediately. The maximum waiting time is 1-2 weeks, depending on the delivery.
Which conditions do I have to fullfill?
To use the wheego subscription, you must have a German registration address, you must be between 18 and 75 years old and you need to have a driving license valid in the EU for at least two years (from the date of issue of the driving license). A minimum age of 21 years applies to wheego vehicles above the compact class as well as to all vans and commercial vehicles. An additional fee may apply for drivers under the age of 23 (Young Driver Fee).
Will my creditworthiness be checked?
Before you take out your wheego subscription for the first time, we carry out a credit check and use Creditreform for this. Whether and in what amount a deposit is necessary depends on your creditworthiness. The amount of the deposit is a maximum of three months’ rent.
What are the requirements to be able to take out a subscription?
To drive a wheego car, you must be between 18 and 75 years old, have a German registration address and have been in possession of a driving license valid in the EU for at least two years (this applies from the date of issue of the driving license). For drivers under the age of 23, an additional fee may apply, the Young Driver Fee.
Can I take out a wheego subscription with a non-German driver’s license?
You can take out a subscription with us if you have an EU driving license.
Is there a deposit in addition to the monthly rent for the car?
At wheego you can get as good as new car. In order to prevent payment defaults and to be able to offer all customers a cheap monthly car rental, we check the creditworthiness before the first subscription rental. Depending on your credit rating, a deposit may be required. The amount of the deposit is up to 3 months’ rent.
When is the deposit debited?
If we require a deposit from you, this will be debited about 7 days before the start of the rental period.
When will my deposit be refunded after the subscription ends?
It may take up to 14 working days for your deposit to be refunded. When you return your wheego vehicle, an independent, official online report is created. Any damage that occurred during the term is logged here. The cost of repairing any damages will then be billed to you and, if applicable, offset against your deposit.
Are other drivers also allowed to use the rented wheego subscription car?
You can add additional drivers to your wheego subscription at any time. Like you, they must be between 18 and 75 years old and have had a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years. Registration is easy and free. You can conveniently register additional drivers by email to service@wheego-mobility.com. Please let us know your rental agreement number and send us a copy of the front and back of the additional driver’s license. Unfortunately, unregistered drivers are not allowed to use the wheego vehicle for insurance reasons.
How much does it cost to register an additional driver?
The registration of additional drivers is free of charge at wheego. You can easily register additional drivers by email to service@wheego-mobility.com. Just inform us about your rental agreement number and send us a copy of the front and back of the additional driver’s license. Please note that the same requirements apply for your additional drivers as for you: They must be between the ages of 18 and 75 and have been in possession of a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years. The driving license must also be a driving license recognized in the EU. For drivers under the age of 23, an additional fee may apply, the Young Driver Fee.
How long does it take until my request to register additional drivers is checked and confirmed?
Please plan 2-3 working days for the examination and confirmation of your additional drivers. Please note that the additional drivers are only authorized to use the rented wheego vehicle after written approval by the wheego team.
Where can I find my additional drivers who I have already registered via the wheego customer service?
Additional drivers that you have already successfully registered via our customer service are stored in our system. Please contact your wheego customer service team by email (service@wheego-mobility.com) if you need an up-to-date overview of your additional drivers.
How long will it take to get my wheego car?
The majority of wheego vehicles are already waiting for you in stock and are therefore available immediately. The maximum waiting time is 1-2 weeks, depending on the delivery.
What is the status of my order and delivery?
After your successful order, the wheego service team will inform you of the fastest possible delivery or handover date for your wheego car. In individual cases, this date can be postponed, as we depend on our suppliers, freight forwarders and approval services. If your appointment needs to be postponed, the wheego service team will inform you immediately.
My delivery status has not yet been confirmed, what is the current status?
We will confirm the exact delivery or handover date of your wheego car as soon as we have received all the necessary information from our suppliers, freight forwarders and registration services. This can take up to 2 working days from the time of your binding order.
Can I pick up my wheego car myself?
You have the choice: When you place your order, you can decide whether you want to collect the car yourself from one of our hubs or whether we will deliver your wheego vehicle to the address of your choice. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to change the delivery method agreed with you after you have placed your order, as we immediately instruct our logistics partners to ensure the fastest possible delivery.
How much are the costs for delivering the car to my home?
The delivery costs depend on the distance to your desired location. The delivery is carried out by one of our logistics partners, with whom we have agreed the best conditions for you. As part of your order, the wheego team will inform you about the exact delivery costs. If you pick up your wheego car at our hubs in Duisburg, Regensburg, Berlin or Hamburg, you will not incur any additional costs.
Where can I have my wheego car delivered?
We deliver your new wheego car to your desired address within Germany. Unfortunately, delivery to islands is not possible.
What do I need for the handover?
The handover of your wheego vehicle takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Please have your valid driver’s license and your ID card ready (please note: copies will not be accepted).
Can someone else take over the wheego vehicle on my behalf?
Please ask our customer service (service@wheego-mobility.com) directly whether it is possible for a third person to take over your wheego car.
What costs can be incurred when returning the vehicle?
You can choose to have your vehicle picked up by one of our logistics partners or to return it free of charge to the wheego hubs in Duisburg or Regensburg. The costs for a collection by a logistics partner depend on the distance. If you wish that your wheego subscription car is collected by our logistics team, please contact the wheego service team at least 21 days before your subscription expires. We will then inform you of the exact costs and order the pick-up.
Damages: If the car shows damage when it is returned that it did not have when it was handed over, you will be charged for these repair costs based on a neutral appraisal.
How do I return my wheego car?
You have two options for returning your wheego car subscription: A neutral expert commissioned by us will make an appointment with you and work with you to create the vehicle’s condition report online. All you need is your smartphone with a camera. The vehicle will then be picked up from your home by one of our logistics partners. There is a collection fee for this, which depends on the distance. Alternatively, you can return your vehicle free of charge – within opening hours – at our hubs in Duisburg, Regensburg, Berlin or Hamburg. The vehicle then remains on site. We ask you to allow between 30 and 60 minutes for the status report.
When will my deposit be refunded after the subscription ends?
It may take up to 14 working days for your deposit to be refunded. When you return your wheego vehicle, an independent, official online report is created. Any damage that occurred during the term is logged here. The cost of repairing this damage will then be billed to you and, if applicable, offset against your deposit.
Where can I return my car?
You have the choice: Either you bring your wheego vehicle free of charge to one of our hubs or you can choose to pick it up for a fee. If you wish the car to be picked up, please contact the wheego service team at least 21 days before your subscription expires. The pick-up costs are then based on the distance to your desired pick-up location in Germany. The wheego service team will inform you about the exact collection costs as part of your order. Before a driver from our logistics partner picks up the vehicle from you, a mobile, independent appraisal is carried out on your premises. For this purpose, a neutral expert commissioned by us will make an appointment with you and then create the condition report of the vehicle online with you. All you need is your smartphone with a camera.
When returning the car, how does the online condition report work?

Depending on the condition of the vehicle, this takes 20-30 minutes. After a processing time of 5-7 days you will receive a copy of the report and the final invoice by email. I have to travel a long way to the return hub, is that at the expense of my inclusive kilometers?
Yes, please plan the route to the return point in your included kilometers.
The mileage counts when you return it to our wheego hubs. For every kilometer exceeding your booked inclusive-kilometer package, you will have to pay the agreed cost of the additional kilometers.
When you decide that the wheego subscription vehicle should be picked up from your home, the mileage on handover to our transfer partner counts as the return mileage of your rental agreement.
What are the hidden costs?
Basically none, as we do everything we can to ensure that our prices are as transparent as possible for you. If you order a delivery to your desired location in Germany at the start of your wheego subscription and / or a pick-up at the end of the rental period, then we will charge you the logistics costs. The wheego service team will always inform you of the exact costs before your final assignment. If you pick up your car at our hubs in Duisburg, Regensburg, Berlin or Hamburg and bring it back there, you will not incur any additional costs.

Traces of use such as small scratches on door handles or in the interior are planned for your wheego Aborate. Naturally occurring signs of use such as tire and brake wear are also included. After the subscription has expired, you will be charged for scratches that need to be painted, dents that need to be squeezed out or stone chips that need to be repaired. You will be charged a maximum of the agreed deductible per damage.
How is the monthly subscription rate billed?
All of our vehicles can be paid for via SEPA direct debit. Payment by credit card is also possible.
In addition, for vehicles that run directly through wheego, our business and private customers have the option of paying on account. A sufficient credit rating is required.
When is the monthly subscription rate debited?
In principle, your monthly rate will always be debited on the day of delivery (or on the day of collection if you pick you wheego car up in our hubs). For example, if you get your wheego car on January 4th, the monthly rate will be debited in advance on the 4th of each month. Unfortunately, the time of debiting cannot be changed.
Can I change the date on which the monthly subscription rate is charged?
No, unfortunately not, because the monthly installments are always due from the day of the delivery date (or the pick-up date if you pick up your wheego car in our hubs) every month.
I would like to apply for a resident parking permit for my wheego car. How does is work?
Please contact your wheego service team by email (service@wheego-mobility.com). We will provide you with all the necessary documents (owner’s declaration) as quickly as possible. You can find the vehicle registration in your wheego car. You need these two documents to apply for a resident parking permit.
Can I smoke in the wheego car?
Smoking is not permitted in the wheego cars.
Can I transport my pet in my wheego car?
In principle, you can transport your pet in your wheego car. But you have to make sure that the animal does not leave any dirt, hair or scratch marks.
Because you will need to pay for the special cleaning and removal of traces yourself.
For safety reasons, we recommend always using a transport box and placing it in the trunk.
We would like to point out that animals must be adequately secured during transport and that you must provide suitable security by means of a transport box, belt or partition and use them when driving.
In which countries can I drive my wheego car?
The rental vehicle may only be used in the following countries: Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Greece, Great Britain, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal , Sweden, Switzerland, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary.
How is my car insured in the wheego subscription?
In addition to extensive liability insurance, your wheego car is fully insured. The fully comprehensive insurance also includes the services of a partially comprehensive insurance. The deductible for partially and fully comprehensive damage depends on the wheego vehicle model booked. You can find information on the amount of the deductible in the product information for all of our offers. Unfortunately, the amount of the deductible cannot be adjusted.
What do I do in the event of an accident or damage?
The wheego damage management hotline (+4920357077776) is available for you around the clock, 24/7. If you have an accident, it is mandatory to inform us immediately. You will receive the contact details of the wheego damage management hotline by email before handing over your wheego vehicle. Please always inform the police in the event of an accident or damage.
What is the procedure in the event of damage?
You can also rely on wheego in the event of damage. Our own damage management team is available to you around the clock, supports you and helps you to organize the next steps. You will receive the phone number of the damage hotline from us by email. In the event of an accident, please always call the police to properly clarify the question of guilt.
Depending on the case of damage (accident or guarantee case), a check will be carried out to determine whether or not a deductible is required from you. The amount of the deductible depends on the wheego vehicle model booked. You can find information on the amount of the deductible in the product information for all of our offers. Unfortunately, the amount of the deductible cannot be adjusted.
wheego does not provide a replacement vehicle for workshop visits. The authorized workshop may be able to offer you a replacement vehicle. Unfortunately, wheego cannot cover the costs for this.
What does the liability insurance cover in the wheego subscription?
Motor vehicle liability insurance replaces damage that you, as a driver, inflict on other people, their property or assets.
What does the fully comprehensive insurance cover in the wheego subscription?
The fully comprehensive insurance also includes the services of a partially comprehensive insurance. This means that you are insured for damage through no fault of your own, e.g. if your car is stolen or in the event of storm damage or lightning strikes. In addition, you are insured against damage and accidents you caused yourself. A deductible is required for each comprehensive insurance. The amount of the deductible depends on the wheego vehicle model booked. You can find information on the amount of the deductible in the product information for all of our offers. Unfortunately, the amount of the deductible cannot be adjusted.
What is not covered by fully comprehensive insurance?
A fully comprehensive insurance usually does not cover damage caused by loss of keys or documents (e.g. the vehicle registration document). In addition, the fully comprehensive insurance does not include flat tires. The wheego vehicles are equipped with spare tires or TireKits for this purpose.
How does the deductible work at wheego?
If you have an accident or damage you caused yourself, this is covered by the fully comprehensive insurance. A deductible will then be charged for each case of damage. No, unfortunately the agreed deductible cannot be reduced.

What if I get a speeding ticket?
Speeding tickets first end up with us in the wheego service team and we are obliged to provide information to the responsible authorities. You will then be contacted directly by the authority. We charge a fee of € 29 for processing.
How and when can I cancel my wheego car subscription?
After the minimum term of one month, you can cancel at any time. You must cancel in writing by email to team.abo@wheego-mobility.com.
Can I cancel my wheego subscription booking?
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to the rental of motor vehicles. If, for an urgent reason, you still want to return the wheego vehicle before the start of the rental or before the end of the contract, please contact your wheego team immediately. We will try to find an accommodating solution depending on the individual case.
As a business customer, how do I proceed if I want to subscribe to cars?
If you only want to subscribe to a single wheego vehicle, then order as normal via our website. Please enter a different address as the delivery address if the vehicle is not to be delivered to the company address. If you need several vehicles, please contact us using the business customer form on our wheego website, by phone at +49 (0) 203 57077718 or by email at business@wheego-mobility.com
Is the company’s creditworthiness checked?
We use Creditreform to check the creditworthiness of business customers.
Which documents do I need for the order and how does it work?
A simple (digital) signature is sufficient for many wheego vehicle brands. For vehicles that are financed through Santander Consumer Leasing, we need BWA, extract from the commercial register, business registration and a scan of the identity card of the person authorized to sign. You will then be invited by Santander for web identification and contract signing in the digital contract center.
How is the monthly subscription rate billed?
All of our vehicles can be paid for via SEPA direct debit. In addition, for vehicles that run directly through wheego, our business customers have the option of paying by credit card or – provided they have the appropriate creditworthiness – on account.
What lead time should I plan if I want to subscribe to cars?
We have many new wheego vehicles in stock that can be delivered within 1-2 weeks after the contract has been signed.
Can wheego subscription vehicles also be used as pool vehicles?
Yes, our corporate customers can also use the vehicles rented on a subscription as pool vehicles. Our wheego service team will be happy to provide you with comprehensive information on this. Important: for all users of your company, the requirements described in our terms and conditions with regard to the minimum age and duration of the possession of a driver’s license apply. When can I reach wheego by phone?
