FAQs Rent

What is the difference between wheego SHARE and wheego RENT?

With wheego SHARE you do everything via the wheego APP. As soon as you have successfully registered, you can book and rent our wheego Micro Cars, our cars and all vans around the clock and 365 days a year. So you are completely independent of business hours and simply open your booked wheego vehicle in the wheego app. Book – open – drive off – the entire process is completely digital and contactless. With wheego SHARE you can start your journey in our rental zones in many cities or at many German airports, for example in Berlin and Hamburg.

And only with wheego SHARE is refueling and charging already included in your rental price! You use the wheego fuel and charging card, which is stored in every vehicle, and fill up without paying at one of our partner petrol stations or partner charging stations in Germany. By the way, the network of our tank partner includes more than 99% of all gas stations in Germany.

If you use wheego RENT, then you reserve your vehicle via our wheego-mobility.com website, by telephone or directly in one of our wheego stations with our friendly wheego employees. Renting from wheego RENT is only possible during opening hours and at one of the wheego stations. You will receive the vehicle key at wheego RENT from our wheego employees, who will also hand over and explain your wheego vehicle to you.

What is identical with wheego SHARE and wheego RENT?

Regardless of whether you use wheego SHARE or wheego RENT, you benefit from our extensive range of vehicles with many car and van groups, our fair and transparent offers and our low prices.

Which vehicle groups can I rent from wheego SHARE?

With wheego SHARE you can choose between 9 different vehicle groups, from fully electric microcars to a wide variety of car models, multi-seaters and different van groups up to 3.5t and book the right vehicle for your needs.

Does wheego SHARE also offer vans?

Yes, we also have many vans in our fleet for you. For smaller transports such as a washing machine, a dryer or a refrigerator, we recommend the “Transporter T1” group. Here you drive, for example, an Opel Combo or a Toyota Proace.

For more extensive transports, it is best to choose the “Transporter T2” group. With a Ford Transit Custom (or similar) you can, for example, carry out smaller moves. This is comparable in size to a Mercedes Benz Vito or a Volkswagen T6.

If you need more space, then book the “Transporter T3” group and then rent a Peugeot Boxer, for example. This is comparable to a Mercedes Benz Sprinter or an Iveco Daily.

And for all special transport requirements, we offer you our “Transporter T4” vehicle group. Here you drive, for example, an Opel Movane platform tarpaulin (3.5t), which offers you not only plenty of space but also many loading options.

How do I get the wheego SHARE app?
